I find the China chapter especially insightful. It’s quite remarkable how a ‘copy cat’ market has taken the innovation mantle for a number of categories which are now being imitated in the west:
- Social (WeChat)
- Financial services (Ant Financial, WePay)
- Gaming (Tencent)
- Digital media - micro transactions tipping for live streaming & content
- Transportation (Didi, Ofo)
